Signature Programs

A portion of Heal ‘n Build’s revenue goes to directly support initiatives led by our team and community. The following listed below are Foundation Heal 'n Build's general programs. The world is our studio. We practice yoga both on and off the mat-- in not so likely places. From old sanctuaries, to school buildings, parks, homes, community centers, you name it (cue song: bean, greens, potatoes, tomatoes). There are a few places that we like to call home, though.

Yoga and mindfulness are at the foundation of Heal 'n Build and it is our primary programming. Our yoga teachers host yoga classes weekly for different skill levels.

Social emergency response

In times of acute trauma to communities, people are considered to be in a state of emergency and there should be first responders in place who are prepared to help the community heal and build together. As yoga teachers, we would typically do yoga and breathing pop-ups but we found that the social

Heal 'n Build Week

Heal 'n Build week is an annual event held in October that brings together community around wellness and community building. Beginning with ___ on Sunday and ending with a recognition luncheon on Saturday. 


Heal 'n Build Shoppe

As a social enterprise, we believe in self sustainability. Revenue generated from products sold in the Heal 'n Build store goes directly to helping us carry out our mission of supporting our community the way we see fit and sometimes that means doing things that mainstream philanthropy doesn't support.

G.r.i.o Index

GRIO stands for Grass Roots Initiatives and Organizations. The GRIO Index is a comprehinsive list of orginizations that may or may not be non-profit. These groups are grassroots in nature and serve people directly. These are the same organizations that are underfunded. Our goal is to gather representatives and build together, share best practices, and serve more effectively.

Heal 'n Build believes in supporting grass roots organizations. This is why we host quarterly meetings to invite representatives from different grass roots organizations to come together, share best practices, support each other, and potentially collaborate.

Red, Bike, & Green

Red, Bike, & Green is a national organization that is committed to creating a culturally relevant bike culture for Black people. In Cincinnati, our chapter is called "Black Bike."
